The goal of mouse heart proteome project is to identify and determine the relative abundance of proteins in three subcellular fractions, cytosol, microsomes, and mitochondria, isolated from the heart tissue of pre-symptomatic and overtly diseased adult R9C mice, which are prone to develop heart failure, as well as their healthy age-matched wild type controls, using mass spectrometry-based shotgun sequencing technique. This tool is created to serve as a 'search-able' reference of the identified heart proteins expressed in subcellular fractions at time points, 8, 16, and 24 weeks.
